From hardware-isolated security enclaves to end-to-end cryptographic verification, here is how we protect customer assets against modern adversarial vectors.
Four Layers of Defense
Traditional banking software relies on centralized database credentials. Thaler decouples authentication from balance verification:
Hardware Security Modules (HSM): Private keys governing account authorizations remain isolated inside dedicated physical hardware.
Zero Password Storage: We never store credentials or password hashes. Authentication is verified via passkeys and biometric cryptography.
Automated Fraud Telemetry: Our anomalous-routing engine detects atypical transaction patterns within 45 milliseconds.
European Regulatory Safeguards
Every euro deposited with Thaler is backed up to €100,000 per person under the statutory European Deposit Guarantee Scheme (DGS), held in segregated custodial accounts. Neither customer support staff nor internal engineers possess signing capability over customer reserves.
